From the President’s Desk

I would like to thank faculty and staff for participating in the Foundations of Excellence
(FoE) faculty/staff survey on The First Year. The results of this survey, the student survey
taken in November, and the Current Practices Inventory will help us to look at what we do in
The First Year that enhances student success and to look at ways that we can improve. This
project is part of our new on-going accreditation process:

Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP).

Contest Winners:

The faculty department with the highest percentage of FoE survey participates, the Biology Department,
will have one of their classrooms made into a SMART classroom. The contest for the highest percentage of
respondents to the survey for the staff (clerical vs. professional) was won by the clerical staff. After the Student
Services Roundtable (scheduled Friday, November 7th, 2008) the clerical staff took part in their luncheon.

Your participation in the continuous quality improvement process through AQIP and the FoE First Year Project
will help Wright College to continue to be a premier institution.
